Science is fun!
On 16th May I met with a class at the Italian seconday school and again on 21st May 2018 with another class of the high school of Istanbul (IMI). They invited me to discuss a bit about science and the work I do at ITU with the MSCA-IF on Niemann-Pick Type C and Cyclodextrins.
I confess that I was a little bit nervous about facing a group of teenagers on the topic of science. Instead I was completely bowled over by them, their natural sense of curiosity and their great intelligence.
It did me good to see how easily I could connect with a younger generation using science and I think that really enjoyed very much the experience too.
The students published an article about our meeting entitled Head and Heart...They felt that this project put together science and societal impact. I'm very pleased :)
